Costs for staying at The Garden Lodge

Prices for accommodation and meals

We can cater for you on a bed and breakfast, or dinner, bed and breakfast basis, whichever is most convenient.

B&B prices are:

Low season (December-March) £25 per person per night in twin or double rooms, and £30 for single occupancy.
High season (April-November) £30 per person per night in twin or double rooms, and £35 for single occupancy.
If you wish to stay for longer periods we are pleased to quote special rates.

The price of accommodation includes a full English breakfast, with home made or local produce whenever possible, which is taken in the house. Alternatively, you can choose a continental breakfast.

Two-course evening meals are a speciality and are offered at £15.00 per head including complementary wine, beer or soft drink. Please make sure you order your dinner in advance (by midday, please).

Special dietary needs are catered for; please advise us when booking. (We are, however, unable to guarantee a nut-free environment in our kitchens if you are allergic to nut products.)

Payment can be made by cash or cheque (business cheques by prior arrangement) but we regret we do not take cards.

Eating out

If you wish to eat out, within walking distance is The Three Blackbirds, a thatched 17th century Inn which offers excellent food. A few minutes’ drive away you’ll find other good food pubs, including The Reindeer at Saxon Street, The Old Plough at Ashley, The Star at Lidgate and The Red Lion at Kirtling. It’s advisable to pre-book a table at any of these pubs especially at weekends or during race meetings and bloodstock sales.

Newmarket itself has a wide range of places to eat, from homely pubs to high-quality Thai, Italian and Chinese restaurants.
