How to find The Garden Lodge B&B
Garden Lodge is conveniently located near to Newmarket (3 miles), Cambridge (12 miles), Duxford (16 miles), Ely (15 miles) and Bury St Edmunds (12 miles). We’ve included directions from the main arterial routes below, and there is also a link to an interactive map where you can choose your own scale and directions.
Directions from Newmarket
In Newmarket, at the top of the High Street (Cambridge end of the town) take the B1061 opposite the Total filling station.
After 300 yards the B1061 bears to the right. Do not go round this bend, but take the smaller road on the left, and after two and a half miles you will arrive in Woodditton. Shortly after you pass a clipped beech hedge on the left and a sign pointing to the church on the right, the road goes into some tree-lined bends, then shortly after you emerge from the trees, you’ll see some bungalows on your right.
Garden Lodge is behind the last bungalow (number 11 Vicarage Lane) before the houses start. Look out for our black and white ‘A’ board, which we put out when we’re expecting guests. Then, just drive over the green and up to the Lodge.
From the North and North West
Leave the A1 or M6 at the A14 junction. About 4 miles east of Cambridge, take the A1303 into the centre of Newmarket.
(Do not follow any other signs for Woodditton or you might get lost).
As you enter Newmarket, almost immediately you’ll find a right hand turn signposted to Dullingham (opposite a Total garage). From here, you can follow the instructions from Newmarket above.
From the South and West
Leave the M11 at junction 9 and join the A11 (or if you are coming from the A1/A505‚ this road also joins the A11 but a little further on). Continue on the A11 for about 9 miles then take the A1304 into Newmarket.
(Do not follow any other signs for Woodditton or you might get lost).
As you enter the town, almost immediately you’ll find a right hand turn signposted to Dullingham (opposite a Total garage). From here, you can follow the instructions from Newmarket above.
From Norfolk and the East
Leave the A14 (westbound) or the A11 (southbound) onto the A1304. Keep straight on, and this road will bring you into Newmarket.
(Do not follow any other signs for Woodditton or you might get lost).
Drive the length of the High Street until you see a Total garage on your right; opposite the garage take the left hand turn signposted to Dullingham. From here, you can follow the instructions from Newmarket above.

Parking
There is enough parking to ensure you are never boxed in. When you arrive, please park on the drive in front of the Lodge, or the gravel in front of the house, and we will sort you out as soon as you have settled in.
